The Harvest Dinner is a working classroom for Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management students. These students work under the guidance of a guest chef and instructors to prepare a several course meal for approximately 400 guests. Students also pass hors d'oeuvres and serve the meal as well as work various positions during the reception.
The Harvest Dinner and Auction is a co-production of the
Lane Community College Foundation and Lane’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management program and benefits student scholarships and college programs. The event is held annually at the Center for Meeting and Learning (CML) on Lane’s main campus. Map to CML |

2011 Harvest Dinner Chef John Ash
 Renowned chef, author, and food and wine educator, Chef John Ash is known by many as the “Father of Wine Country Cuisine”. In 1980 he opened his namesake restaurant, John Ash & Company, in Santa Rosa, CA. It was the first restaurant in Northern California wine country to focus on local, seasonal ingredients used to create dishes that complemented the wines being made in the region.
Chef John Ash will work with over 100 Culinary and Hospitality students to prepare an amazing meal for our guests. Harvest Dinner Menu
Sponsorships and Auction items will help fund student scholarships and college programs.
Cookbooks by Chef John Ash will be available for purchase at the dinner. During the reception guests will have the opportunity to meet Chef Ash and have their cookbooks signed.
