Special Programs For Providers
Child Care Enhancement Program:
In 2003, the state legislature enacted a tax credit contribution plan designed to address the market failure in the child care sector. Family Connections received funds to implement strategies to enhance child care in Lane County. The NEW Child Care Enhancement Program will provide funds to increase child care provider wages and professional development, decrease parent cost to less than 10 percent of family income, and improve the quality of child care.
