Child Care Providers

Family Connections' provider specialists offer consultations about licensing, assistance with business concerns and child care management issues. We offer a wide variety of training opportunities and topics, and will gladly help you with your business concerns including marketing, problem solving, and communication with parents.

Why enroll with Family Connections of Lane and Douglas Counties?
Enrolling with Family Connections is a good marketing tool for your business; it means that we can make referrals to your program when parents are looking for child care. If you are just beginning your child care business, we can help you set up and market your business, find trainings, and link with other child care professionals. We can also help guide you toward further professional development. Every quarter you will receive our newsletter, which will keep you informed of training opportunities, important changes in rules, and give you helpful professional information. We also maintain a provider lending library featuring books, educational videos, and an assortment of toy boxes, which can be borrowed for up to one month.

How Can I Enroll On FC’s Database?
You can call our office at (541) 463-3954 or 1-800-222-3290 and have an intake form mailed to you. Or fill out the Intake Form online. You can fill in the form right on the web page save to your computer and then e-mail to familyconnections@lanecc.edu or you can print and then fax to (541) 463-4724 or mail to Family Connections, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene OR 97405.

How do I become a Licensed Child Care Facility?
The Child Care Division (CCD) is the state agency that regulates child care in Oregon. The division regulates three different types of child care facilities: Registered Family Child Care, Certified Group Home Care and Certified Child Care Centers. To read the rules and regulations concerning all three types of care, you can visit the Child Care Division web site Oregon Employment Department Child Care Division (CCD) at 1-800-556-6616 for detailed information. Download CCD Forms from the Child Care Division, including Criminal Registry Forms, and Rules and Regulations Booklets. Or you can contact us to have them mailed to you.

Can I provide care without being licensed?
There are exceptions under which you can provide care for children without being licensed or registered. To find out what those rules are, click the link above to view the various types, or visit the CCD web site and read the rules regarding Exempt Care at Oregon Employment Department Child Care Division at 1-800-556-6616 , or call FC for information. You can enroll with FC even if you are an not a licensed or registered (exempt) provider.
