Honors Course or Option Proposals

• Proposals for converting an existing course into an honors course or developing an honors option for students in a “non-honors” course will be accepted on an on-going basis. Proposals submitted by the end of Week 8 will be reviewed by Week 11 of that same term.
  
• Up to 30 hours of curriculum development funding is available for honors course/honors option development.
• The Honors Program is now considering new proposals for the 2012-2013 academic year.
  
• Faculty interested in developing honors courses/honors options should consult with their Dean and attend advertised Honors Program workshops.

Honors Course Proposal Process

Proposals are being accepted for 2012-2013 academic year and beyond.

1. Attend an Honors Program workshop.

2. Consult with your Dean.
   
3. Complete an Honors Course Proposal Form
   
4. Submit an annotated syllabus that reflects proposed honors changes and enhancements. Submit documents to honors@lanecc.edu.
   
5. Course proposals are accepted on an on-going basis. Proposals submitted by the end of Week 8 will be reviewed by Week 11 of that same term.
