Alumni Connections
Welcome to our Alumni page!
Lane Community College's Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management program is proud of its graduates!. Our graduates have extremely successful job placement in the industry! We encourage graduates to keep in touch with our Program to help support future students - many of our graduates come back to teach in our Guest Chef Series and become peer mentors. Networking is very key in this industry - our graduates know that they can come and visit us at any time for advice, support, and networking contacts.
We have one Alumni Connections Event each year that helps us to continue connection to our Graduates - The Alumni Connections Fall Mixer. Held the third Monday every September in the Renaissance Room, the Fall Mixer allows students to mingle with current faculty and staff and re-connect with old classmates!
We have a Facebook Page for our Alumni Connections! The "LCC Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Program Page" is for current students and staff as well. The Page keeps all involved with our Program informed on upcoming events, current job postings in the local industry, culinary and hospitality news and links, recipes, photos, and much, much more! Please request to join our Page if you are Alumni or a current student!
Contact Julie Fether, Special Projects Coordinator at fetherj@lanecc.edu or (541) 463-3518 to get on the e-mail list for future notice of events.
**Our Annual Alumni Mixer held in September at SweetWaters at the Eugene Valley River Inn was a great success! 25 Alumni from 2006-2011 were present!
**ATTN. ALL ALUMNI! We are helping to create a Lane Community College Cookbook and would like to feature YOUR seaonally-crafted recipes! Send recipes to Julie Fether at fetherj@lanecc.edu.**
Currently, we have graduates locally at:
Eugene Hilton, Sweetwaters at The Valley River Inn, Sacred Heart Hospital at Riverbend, King Estate Winery, Sweet Cheeks Winery, Holiday Inn - Springfield, Osteria Szifio, Marche' Restaurant, Marche' Provisions to name a few!
If you are a graduate of the Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management programs, please contact us and let us know what you are doing. In the future we hope to increase this page to include stories about our alumni, a place for industry professionals to post job offerings, and photos.
Alumni*** We need your help to continue making this program one of the premier programs in the Pacific Northwest. Every spring, Lane's Institutional Research Planning and Assessment department sends out a graduate survey. Please take the time to complete this survey when it comes to you. The information we gather from this survey assists us in improving the content of the program to better serve students and the culinary and hospitality industry. For more information about the survey you can contact IRAP.
