Fall Term Health Professions Academic Advising Workshop Schedule for October 17th through October 28th, 2011 These workshops are for the following majors: Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Exercise Movement Science (2 yr. program), Physical Therapist Assistant and Respiratory Care. If you are a nursing major, please choose a nursing workshop. Academic and Advance Registration Advising for continuing/returning students will be available at all workshop options. Please review this the Advance Registration website about important dates. To be eligible for Advance Registration you need to be considered a current or returning credit student. We look forward to seeing you soon. This schedule is subject to change. Prior to attending a workshop we request that you review program and advising information for your major at the Academic Advising Resources site. You will be provided the opportunity to enroll. This is a “virtual course” and is free. You will be enrolled for one year and if dropped can re-enroll at any point in time. To access please go to 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu and select Moodle (on menu at left), then choose Academic Advising. Select the resource for your major. New students to Lane are encouraged to attend a Winter SOAR (Student Orientation Advising & Registration) session. Please go to the Lane home page 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu and choose the link “Steps in Enroll in Credit Classes." If you're having a problem scheduling a workshop appointment, come to Counseling and Advising Reception (Bldg. 1, Room 103) and ask someone to assist you. Please carefully review your workshop location and check in 5 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Cancel or change your scheduled time here. Other options for assistance: Students who can not attend a workshop please email your questions to the listed resource for your major. Students may be seen one-on-one for the following reasons: Financial Aid Disqualification; Credit Limit Appeals; Trade-Act Planning; Workforce Investment Act planning and completion of Back On Course assignments or if you have international transcripts. Please identify your specific need when coming in to Counseling and Advising. Personal Counseling options: We have counselors available on a drop-in basis to assist students who need help with overcoming barriers or obstacles to their success in school. Please come to Counseling and Advising (Bldg. 1, Room 103) and request to see a drop-in counselor. |
