  Career Counseling

Career counseling and exploration are crucial services provided by Lane's Counseling Department. Career counselors can help you assess your skills, interests, and values; identify barriers to decision-making and goals; explore career transition issues; and help integrate your career goals into your “life” planning process.

Career Counseling Assessments
More comprehensive and in-depth inventories are available within our one-credit and three-credit Career and Life Planning classes, or for students who are engaging in career counseling with a Lane counselor. These instruments include: Strong Interest Inventory (interests), Career Assessment Inventory (interests), Campbell Interest and Skills Survey (interests and confidence in skills), and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (personal style preferences). If you are interested in these inventories, please talk with a counselor about your options.

To meet with a counselor (to assess your needs, goals, and appropriate services), just come to the Counseling Department (Bldg One, Room 103) and see the drop-in counselor. Or, call our reception desk at 463-3200 to make an appointment.

For more information about Counseling Department services, access the Counseling website.
