Personal Counseling Life as a college student can be quite overwhelming. Managing new demands and challenges can be stressful when you’re learning college systems, raising a family, or trying to pursue a new career. Fortunately, the Counseling Department offers short-term personal counseling to credit students experiencing issues interfering with student success. Lane counselors and counseling interns are highly trained and caring professionals with varied credentials. They can help you manage issues such as:
Be assured that what is discussed with a counselor/counseling intern will remain private and confidential, unless you give permission to share it with others, there is potential danger to self or others, involves child/elder abuse, or it is requested by court order. Counseling services are available on a drop-in basis during open hours. A limited number of on-going, weekly counseling appointments are available each term; please see a drop-in counselor at the Counseling Department (main campus) for a referral. For more information contact the Counseling and Advising Center, by phone (541) 463-3200, Email form: Counseling or in person, Student Services Building #1.
