Welcome to Lane’s Online New Student Information Session (NSIS). As a new student there is much to learn. Throughout this process you will be introduced to vital information regarding:

• Lane policies, procedures, and deadlines
• Essential support services
• Success strategies
• Specific advice from Lane students achieving their dreams

The entire NSIS (approx. 50 pages) should take about 60 minutes to complete. As you navigate you’ll notice that many pages have links to various sites. Feel free to visit them for detailed information relevant to your academic interests and needs.

In order to complete the Online NSIS in its entirety you’ll need to proceed through all the pages. Make certain you click the “Next” button at the bottom of each page to advance through each module.

The online NSIS is just one component of your new student orientation. We highly recommend periodic consultation(s) with your program advisor/counselor to discuss specific goals and assist with the development of your Personal Success Plan.

This orientation is best viewed in either Internet Explorer or Safari to ensure you see all the content.

Upon completion of the last module you’ll be asked to respond to a brief survey. Make certain you complete this step, as it will validate your participation and completion of the Online NSIS.
