MEMBER AFFILIATIONS SCHOLARSHIPS

AAUW Fellowships and Grants

  • First preference will be given to scholarship applicants who are a child, grandchild, or relative of a current SME Wichita Chapter No. 52 member.

Carl J. Megel Scholarship

  • Applicant must be son or daughter of an affiliated Illinois Federation of Teachers.

James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund

  • Eligibility requirements and application procedures are the same for all awards. Recipients are selected by an impartial committee of university admissions and financial aid directors based on academic achievement, SAT/ACT scores, character, potential and financial need.

Selco Community Credit Union Scholarships

  • Must be affiliated with Selco Community Credit Union.

EAGA Scholarship

  • A wide variety of scholarships are offered through this site with different qualifications for each.

4-H Development Education in Oregon Scholarships

  • Over 15 scholarships are available to college bound high school seniors, who are current Oregon 4-H members

Additional 4-H Scholarship Resources

  • The State 4-H Program in Oregon offers scholarships to college-bound high school seniors who are currently enrolled in the Oregon 4-H program, and have been members for at least three years.

American Darts Organization Memorial Scholarship Program

  • Must be a member in good standing of the American Darts Organization.

Shirley J. Gold Scholarship

  • Must be an AFT-Oregon member. (“Fair Share” payers are not members).

Albert F. Shanker Scholarship

  • Must be AFT-Oregon member’s dependent. (“Fair Share” payers are not members)

National Aviation Explorer Scholarships

  • Must be currently registered and active in an aviation Explorer post and have 3 letters of recommendation.

Exploring Scholarships and Awards

  •  Any young adult is eligible for the Young American Award and all youth participating in the high school Learning for Life or Exploring program can apply for an array of the following awards.

Boy Scouts of America National Eagle Scout Merit Scholarships

  • Must be affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America.

Northwest Farm Credit Services Scholarship Program

  • Must be affiliated with Northwest Farm Credit Services.

Syracuse Builders Exchange Scholarship

  • Applicant must be an employee of an SBE member firm or the son or daughter of an owner or employee of a Syracuse Builders Exchange member firm.

NASE Scholarship Program

  • Applicant must have parent that are members in good standing of the NASE with dues paid current at the time the award is made.

Lane Electric Co-op Scholarship

  • The member/applicant or parent/guardian of the applicant must be a Lane Electric member, in good standing and interested applicants must meet LCC’s entrance requirements before applying for Lane Electric’s scholarships.

MILITARY SCHOLARSHIPS

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

  • Our mission is to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships for higher education to deserving sons and daughters of Marines and children of former Marines, with particular attention being given to children whose parent was killed or wounded in action.

Horizons Foundation Scholarship Program

  • The scholarship program is intended to provide financial assistance to further educational objectives of women who are U.S. citizens either employed or planning careers in defense or national security areas.

2464-Vet Shining Star Scholarship for Veterans- LCC

  • Must be a Veteran. Must be a full-time student at Lane

The Fund for Veterans’ Education

  • To be eligible to apply to the Fund for Veterans’ Education, the student must be a veteran of any branch of the Armed Forces: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard and Armed Forces Reserves.

VFW Military Scholarships

  • 3 available scholarship programs.

American Legion Auxiliary Scholarships

  • Auxiliary members generously contribute to supporting a variety of scholarship opportunities for relatives of honorably discharged veterans and deserving youth.

Horatio Alger Military Veterans Scholarship

  • Must be enrolled full time as a high school senior in Oregon, progressing normally toward graduation, and planning to enter college no later than the fall following graduation.

Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs Educational Aid

  • ROTC, Scholarships & Service Academies.

Army Emergency Relief Education Assistance Program

  • Dependant children scholarship program.

Army Emergency Relief Education Assistance Resources

  • A list of resources available for college students.

Center for Homeland Defense and Security

  • A list of writing and essay contests for scholarships.

Colin L. Powell Joint Warfighting Essay Contest

  • Essays must be original, must not exceed 3,000 words, and must not have been previously published. An exact word count must appear on the title page.

Scholarships for Military Children

  • If your mother or father is active duty, reserve/guard, or retired military personnel or you are the survivor of a deceased member, and you have a military dependent I.D. card you can apply!

1st Cavalry Division Association Scholarship Fund

  • These grants are reserved for children of those soldiers of the 1st Cavalry Division who died, or were totally and permanently disabled as a result of wounds received or disease contracted while serving with the 1st Cavalry Division in any armed conflict.

Naval Intelligence Essay Contest

  • Maximum Length: 2,000 words. Topic: Any subject pertaining to Naval Intelligence or intelligence support to naval forces.

Jesse Brown Scholarship

  • The Jesse Brown Memorial Youth Scholarship Program encourages young volunteers to play active roles in the Department of Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service (VAVS) programs. It recognizes outstanding young volunteers who give of their time by awarding annual scholarships that may be used to continue their education.

Grants for Individuals:  Veterans, Military Science Majors, or Dependents

  • A very comprehensive list of scholarships for military members.

Troops to Teachers Scholarships

  • The Lewis & Clark Troops to Teachers regional office assists qualified military personnel make the transition from the armed services to service in public school classrooms by providing counseling and/or financial benefits in the six-state region.

DHS Scholarship and Fellowship Program for Undergraduates

  • You must be a U.S. citizen as of the application deadline. If you have earned a bachelor’s degree, you are ineligible. You must have a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.30 or higher. You must be majoring in a homeland security science, technology, engineering or mathematics.

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship

  • The awards will be made on the basis of merit to two groups of students—those who will be college juniors and those who will be college seniors in the academic year—who have outstanding potential and intend to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering.
