ETHNICITY SCHOLARSHIPS

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

• Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States with a valid Social Security Number at the time of application. Must be a sophomore majoring in Engineering or a science-related field.

Ann C. Thornton Memorial Fund Scholarship

• Four (4) $1,000 awards will be selected for American Indian/Alaska Native students who live in Oregon and who are enrolled (or will be enrolled) in a college or university in the fall.

APS Minority Scholarship

• Any African-American, Hispanic American, or Native American U.S. citizen or permanent resident who is majoring or planning to major in physics, and who is a high school senior, college freshman, or sophomore is eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Child Care Scholarship and Funding Assistance Programs

• Full or part-time students of Lane Community College taking a minimum of 6 credit hours on the main campus may qualify for the Co-Op option.

AAFO Scholarship

• AAFO Scholarship grants are open to any person who is a resident of Oregon,
  who has demonstrated interest and effort in Asian American cultural activities.

Oregon State Council Endowment Scholarship

• Must be a resident of Oregon, submit a personal letter addressing career plans and reasons for applying for award, 2 letters of recommendation (dated/signed), and at least a 3.0 GPA.

Master of Environmental Energy Management

• A wide variety of scholarships are offered through this site with different qualifications for each.

Leopold Schepp Foundation Scholarship

• Check website after August for the 2011-12 applications. Applicant must have maintained or is maintaining a 3.0 GPA, is over the age of 30 or under, and must be willing to travel to New York City should they receive this award.

• Graduate level nursing scholarship for students who plan on practicing in Oregon upon graduation; emphasis given to community health nursing.  The award ranges from $1000-$5000.
