Lane Preview Night, February 2
EUGENE, OR - Lane Preview Night, the annual open house at Lane Community College for high school students and their families, will be held Wednesday, February 2, from 6-8:30 p.m. in the gym, building 5, main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene.
The event is an opportunity to visit main campus, learn more about Lane's academic and career training programs, and get a better feel for what higher education is all about. It's also a chance to meet faculty and win prizes like Titan gear and tuition certificates.
Break-out sessions will offer help with the financial aid process, a tour of the new Health and Wellness Center, and details on transferring to another college or university after Lane.
Lane's relatively low cost, wide variety of classes and programs, and high success rate of graduates make it an attractive option, says David Van Der Haeghen, Student Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator.
Lane Community College is a comprehensive community college offering two-year associate degrees and one-year certificates in a variety of instructional programs. Students can earn an Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer degree and continue their education, or prepare for career in more than 40 occupations. Lane also offers continuing education noncredit courses, foundational academic and language programs, business development services and custom workforce training, and cultural and community services. Classes are available at main campus and other Eugene locations, in Florence and Cottage Grove, online, and by telecourse. Last year, nearly 38,000 people enrolled at Lane Community College.
