News from the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Department at Lane Community College

LCC CLASSICAL CUISINE DINNER FEATURES ARGENTINEAN FLAIR

EUGENE - The Culinary Arts and Hospitality Department at Lane Community College will hold its next Classical Cuisine Dinner on Thursday, March 5. The theme for this year’s event explores Argentina, the birthplace of tango. Skilled Argentinean tango dancers will provide the evening’s entertainment. The menu will feature cultural delicacies such as lobster empanadas, mixed seafood ceviche, and a goose roulade with walnut, fig, pan sauce, gnocchi and seasonal vegetables. Hospitality students have created a presentation to complete the evening and to share interesting information on Argentina’s culture.

Doors open at 5 p.m. for a silent auction, and 6 p.m. for dinner. Tickets are available exclusively online this year. Go to http://2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/culinary/cuisine.htm for reservations. Seats are going fast.
