Classical Cuisine Dinners
The Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management Students present two Classical Cuisine Dinners in the Winter and Spring terms. The Winter Dinner celebrates International Cuisine and the Spring Dinner focuses on sustainable food systems, using the bounty of our local farmers, ranchers, and foragers in a 100-Mile radius. The Dinners are held at the Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19 at Lane.
A great showcase for our student talents!
Please join us next year for the Winter 2012 Classical Cuisine Dinner!
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR PROGRAM AND LANE COMMUNITY COLLEGE!
Classical Cuisine Dinners as part of the CAHM Program Curriculum
Students in the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management programs will all participate in and gain practical experience in what it is like to set up reservations, supervise, prepare for, research, cook, and serve an upscale, multi-course banquet. Second-year students will create the menus and cultural themes for each dinner, as well as cook them. Each term students choose a particular theme for that term's dinner, which includes six to seven courses of gourmet dishes. A no-host wine and beer bar is available at each dinner. The spring term dinner is generally a buffet. Dinners are open to the public and are held at the Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19, Lane Community College Main Campus.
