Ticket deadline extended for special Hawaiian dinner at LCC
EUGENE - The deadline to purchase tickets to the Hawaiian classical cuisine dinner presented by culinary and hospitality students at Lane Community College on Thursday, May 25 has been extended to one day before the dinner. The event begins at 6 p.m. in the Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19, LCC main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene.
The menu:
- passed hors d'oeuvres of sesame crusted tuna, Kona crab and lobster cakes, tropical salsa, and Hawaiian spare ribs
- buffet of corn chowder soup, grilled fruit salad with green pepper vinaigrette, Kalua pig (cooked underground in a pit on campus), sweet and sour tofu, orange ginger chicken, lomi lomi salmon, coconut bread with pineapple butter
- desserts including white chocolate guava cake with roasted banana cream sauce, minted mango martini float with crystallized ginger, chocolate macadamia nut pie, and Kona coffee
The evening will include performances of fire dancing, fire juggling, and hula.
