Preparing for Classes

Preparing for Classes looks at balancing your academic and personal life, preparation, and readiness for the beginning of the term. In addition, we explore ways to purchase your books, how to communicate with your instructors, and address transportation issues.

Although the skills you bring with you are transferable, your college experience is likely to be very different. A major difference will be taking responsibility for your academic, career, and personal schedules.

Remember, a college degree or certificate is an additional responsibility added to a life that may already be committed to work, family, child care, charitable work, and the likes.  Success will likely be a result of good preparation and the relentless pursuit of your goals.
