Lane Community College Services and Organizations
Lane Community College provides many services for its students. Here is an alphabetical list that may be helpful for our Business students:
- Academic Learning Skills (Study Skills): ALS offers college credit courses that will help you in your college studies.
- Admissions/Enrollment Services: If you need to complete an admissions application or have questions about registration, here is is a good place to start.
- Associated Students of Lane Community College: ASLCC represents the student body of Lane Community College's Main Campus.
- Bookstore: They have textbooks as well as supplies, Lane clothing, and gift items.
- Career and Employment Services: They provide career information, employment services, and scholarship resources.
- College Now: College Now offers dual credit in partnership with Lane County High Schools.
- Counseling: The Counseling Department provides retention and support services for Lane students.
- Disability Services: They will help provide equal access, as defined by federal legislation, to all Lane students with qualifying, documented disabilities.
- Financial Aid: If you want to apply online for financial aid or find out about award information, visit this site.
- Fitness Education Center: They have a state-of-the-art fitness equipment laboratory and offer many different classes.
- Health Clinic: All Lane students are eligible to use the Health Clinic for emergency care, immunizations, information, and referral community resources.
- Lane Child and Family Center: The Child and Family Center is a State licensed center located on the main campus that provides care for student’s staff and community families.
- Lane Family Connections: They offer customized referrals to potential child care arrangements.
- Library: The library's services are open to everyone. They have books, videos, DVDs, and online research databases just to name a few items.
- Multi-Cultural Center: The Multi-Cultural Center has a lounge with computers, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and popcorn, and it is a racism and homophobia free zone.
- Phi Theta Kappa: PTK's purpose is to recognize and encourage scholarship among associate degree students.
- Student Groups: There are many student groups on campus including: The Muslem Student Union, The Latino Student Union, The Black Student Union, The Hip Hop Club, The Asian Club, The International Student Community Program, and the Native American Program.
- Student Service Associates: Student Service Associates assist in the Counseling Department to help other students learn about and benefit from Lane's resources.
- The TRiO program: If your parents did not receive a four year degree, you have financial need, or your have a documented disability, you may qualify for this program. Enrollment is limited, and it is a valuable assistance program.
- Tutoring Services: Lane has a centrally organized tutoring program that encourages drop-in visits.
- Veterans Education Benefits: The Veterans' Office provides support to all students who are eligible for Veteran's benefits.
- Women's Program: The Women's Program helps by providing an environment where students can be free from sex-role stereotyping and gender discrimination.
- WorkSource Lane : Located in Building 19, The Workforce Network is dedicated to helping individuals learn new skills, find employment, and progress in their careers.
