Linda Ackers
Kudos and congratulations to Linda Ackers, winner of Lane's November 2011 Classified Employee of the Month Award. Linda maintains the Lane Community College library website

Linda keeps the library's web services humming, from library databases to video tutorials. She makes it possible for students, staff and faculty to access online library resources day or night. She thinks ahead and takes initiative to solve problems almost before they happen.
Not only is she a linchpin in the library, she also contributes to cross-campus initiatives and committees such as the Tech Council. Outside the college, she has made important contributions to furthering the strategic directions of the Orbis Cascade Alliance, an organization that is key to the success of our library and those of Lane's peer institutions. Her colleagues vow that Linda is the kind of employee who sets the bar high. They credit her with a deep understanding of Lane's culture and vision who contributes tremendously to the library's success in meeting its instructional and service goals. She is passionately committed to serving students, and is dedicated to library principles of privacy, access to information, and intellectual freedom.
Linda is expert in her field, and constantly seeks ways to improve the library's web presence and services for students. When you see Linda, congratulate her for doing a terrific job and celebrate her nomination as November's Classified Employee of the Month.
