Pat Riggs-Henson earns Education Volunteer of the Year award
Former Lane Community College Board of Education member Pat Riggs-Henson received the Education and Schools Volunteer of the Year Award at the sixth annual volunteer awards luncheon on April 22, 2010, sponsored by United Way of Lane County and The Register-Guard.
Riggs-Henson served three terms on the Lane's board in the Zone 3 position representing the Springfield area. She was on the board from May 1989 to June 1998 and July 2005 to June 2009.
"Pat forged countless partnerships strengthening business, labor and education to enable the highly skilled workforce that will help us to attract new employers and grow as a community" said President Mary Spilde.
Riggs-Henson also has volunteered with the Lane County Labor Relations Council, the Democratic Party of Lane County, and the Community Alliance of Lane County.
