Specialized Support Services open house Nov. 17 at LCC

EUGENE, OR -Specialized Support Services at Lane Community College will hold an open house on Thursday, November 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event celebrates the new SSS quarters in Building 11, Rooms 130-139, funded by Lane's 2008 voter-approved bond. The open house will include a tour of the program's facilities and information about services.
SSS provides employment training and education to adult students who experience developmental disabilities. Specialized Support Services operates as a cooperative venture between Lane Community College, the Lane County Office of Developmental Disabilities, and the State of Oregon Seniors and Persons with Disabilities Division.
Specialized Support Services offers intensive individual and small group instruction which addresses social skills development, on the job employment skills training in socially integrated settings, supported work skills, and competitive employment placement.
