Low riders, hot rods and more set for Aug. 14 car show at LCC
EUGENE, OR - MeCha, the Lane Community College Latino student group, presents its Second Annual Car Show, "Showdown in the Valley" on Sunday, August 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene, in the northeast parking lot.
The show is free and open to the public. Low riders, hot rods, bikes and imports will be featured. The event includes food, vendors, and live entertainment by local artists DZO, Michael K & Reese, Metric, Lili Parra, El Gallardo, Jim Garcia, Danza Azteca, Allure Dance Team, and emcee DJ Azteca. There will be a Hop Contest featuring $1,500 in prizes and a raffle valued at over $1,000.
Sponsors include Dennis Zuniga of the Springfield College of Beauty, Todd's Auto Body, Brook's Auto Parts, Trifer Auto Glass, Stereo Store, Brad's Car Tunes, More of Everything, Royal Image Car Club, Chico's Customs, Kingdom Clothing, and the Associated Students of Lane Community College.
