Voters choose incumbents and one new member for LCC board
EUGENE, OR - Voters chose three incumbents and one newcomer for the Lane Community College Board of Education in Tuesday's election. Incumbent Tony McCown of Springfield and newcomer Rosie Pryor of Eugene each defeated single challengers for the four-year terms.
McCown, a former student body president and current board chairman, won a second term with 58 percent of the vote, defeating Doug Nelson of Springfield.
Pryor, a marketing manager, currently serves on the Lane Community College Foundation Board of Trustees. She garnered 71 percent of the vote to defeat William Gehling of Dorena, a retired teacher and school administrator. Pryor also serves on the Lane Workforce Partnership Board and the Oregon Workforce Investment Board.
Incumbents Robert Ackerman and Pat Albright, both of Eugene, ran unopposed.
