Public Service Announcement from the Senior Companion Program at Lane Community College

Recruiting senior companions
EUGENE, OR - The federal Senior Companion Program provides a tax-free hourly stipend of $2.65/hour to low-income adult volunteers, age 55 or better. Receive training and provide one-on-one outreach to frail, elderly and disabled adults for 15 or more hours each week. Companions serve through senior organizations in Lane County, which are responsible for all client selection. Pre-training and ongoing support are provided.
