LCC women Titans plan their next winning streak
EUGENE, OR - The nation's best active home-game winning streak for a college basketball team peaked at 83 on Saturday when the Lane Community College women Titans fell to Clackamas Community College 65-68, but the team is determined to start a new streak.
There are three more home games this season, on February 12 vs. Mt. Hood Community College, February 16 vs. Southwestern Oregon Community College, and February 26 vs. Chemeketa Community College. Coach Greg Sheley intends to win all three. Meanwhile, the Titan record probably won’t be bested for quite some time.
The Titans have won three Northwest Athletic Association of Community College championships, in 2006, 2007 and 2009, and five Southern Region titles, in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
