Deadline for Lane Community College Foundation scholarships is March 12
EUGENE, OR – The Lane Community College Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2011/2012 academic year. All students will apply for scholarships through an online application called STARS Online. Based on information provided on their applications, students will see a list of recommended scholarships that they are most likely to qualify for.
Most applicants will be given an option to apply for the "all major" scholarship. This scholarship is open to students planning to be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours next fall.

STARS Online: 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/foundation/scholarshipopps.htm. The majority of scholarships have an online application deadline of March 12, for awards received in the fall.
Last year, the foundation awarded more than $600,000 in scholarships.
Students are also encouraged to go to Lane's Career & Employment Services website for additional scholarship information: 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/ces/scholarships. This site lists many resources related to scholarships including useful tips for completing scholarship applications and a list of upcoming scholarship workshops.
Information about other organizations that offer scholarships and grants can be obtained from high school guidance counselors, libraries and scholarship search Web sites, such as www.fastweb.com.
