Lane Community College Women Titans Basketball Team with mascot Ty |
Lane Titans will defend 80-home game win record Jan. 8
EUGENE, OR – The Lane Community College women Titans basketball team defends its 80-game home court winning streak on Saturday, January 8 at 4 p.m. The Titans take on the Linn-Benton Lady Roadrunners at 4 p.m. in the gym, building 5, main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene.
With 80 home-game wins, the Titans hold the national collegiate home game record for an active team. They haven't lost at home since 2002.
Besides the home-game record, the Titans are in pursuit of their fourth Northwest Athletic Association of Community College championship title to add to their 2006, 2007 and 2009 titles. They've also won five Southern Region titles, in 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
Head Coach Greg Sheley is in his 12th season at Lane. He has 243 wins to his credit, the most ever for a Titan coach. He has bachelor's and master's degrees from California State University at Chico.
