Extra-credit advice from LCC: register early for fall classes through SOAR
EUGENE - High enrollment at Lane Community College means students could compete for seats, but those who register early through SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising and Registration) will be sitting pretty.
These four-hour sessions connect students with advisors, explain financial aid, and best of all, let students register in advance. SOAR sessions will be held from September 7 through 9. Regular new student registration begins a week later on September 14.
Lane offered a week of fall SOAR sessions in June and served 770 students. The college hopes at least 1,000 more students attend the September SOAR sessions.
Classes start September 27.
