EUGENE, OR - Robert F. Kennedy Jr. lectured about "Our Environmental Destiny" in downtown Eugene on July 22. The Northwest Energy Education Institute at Lane Community College sponsored his visit.
Kennedy advocated for the green energy and talked about measures the country could take to be a good steward of its resources. He praised Lane Community College, which offers degree training in energy management, renewable energy and water conservation, and operates with sustainability as a core value.
"Today we have an opportunity to create an infrastructure, much like what Lane is doing, to provide our country with energy independence forever," he said, as quoted in the Oregon Daily Emerald.
