Online scholarship applications begin at LCC; deadline is March 12
EUGENE, OR – Students may now apply online for scholarships at Lane Community College.
New this year, the Lane Community College Foundation has launched STARS Online. Based on information provided on their application, students will see a list of recommended scholarships that they are most likely to qualify for.
Most applicants will be given an option to apply for the “All Major Scholarship,” which is open to students planning to be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours next fall. Applicants for the “All Major Scholarship” will be considered for a variety of awards totaling $292,000. Last year, the Lane Foundation awarded more than $673,000 in scholarships overall.
Most scholarship applications are due March 12, for fall awards.

Students may also visit Lane Career & Employment Services online for additional scholarship information, at 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/ces/scholarships. This site lists has scholarship information such as tips for completing applications and a list of upcoming workshops.
Information about other organizations that offer scholarships and grants can be obtained from high school guidance counselors, libraries and scholarship search websites such as www.fastweb.com.
