Businesses are getting “green” and saving money too!
Eugene, OR - Lane Community College Business Development Center
During this economic recession, it is beneficial that the buzz words today are "green" and "sustainable." Many businesses are wondering how they will endure through the current economic climate. Others are wondering how they will be affected by climate change and what they can do about it. The Climate Masters @ Work Program offers solutions for these concerns and more. Not only will the program help organizations become more "green" but it will also help organizations generate cost savings through energy and resource efficiency.
The Climate Masters @ Work Program connects organizations with industry experts on climate change and risk, targeting your emissions, federal and state incentives, renewable energy options, transportation and shipping solutions as well as how to understand your supply chain and waste stream. The instructor will offer one-on-one support on how to conduct a greenhouse gas emissions inventory, create a climate action plan, develop a green team or leverage behavior change in your organization to help you reduce your carbon footprint.
Many local organizations have already had success with this program like Erin Noble with West Wind International, George Rode with Autohaus and EuroAsian Auto as well as Michael Gouveia with Golden Temple (Yogi Tea.)
All classes and workshops are held at the Lane Community College Business Development Center, 1445 Willamette St, Eugene. Find information on costs and other details at: www.LaneSBDC.com or call your Business Resource Team at 541.463.5255 or Sonja Mae at 541.463.4605 for more information.
