LANE COMMUNITY COLLEGE ANNOUNCES FALL CONCERT SERIES

The Department of Music, Dance and Theatre Arts will present a series of performances by Lane musicians and singers in time for your Holiday enjoyment!

Sunday, Nov. 22 at 3:00pm and again Tuesday Nov. 24 at 7:30pm, the Lane Symphonic Band and the Lane Chamber Orchestra team up on a double bill to present a program with music for every taste.

The Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Hisao Watanabe, will perform selections from Mozart's Symphony No. 41 in C, KV551.

On the same bill, the Symphonic Band, under the direction of Chet Peterson, will open their set with Bach's "Fantasia". "Fantasia" will be followed by a selection of English Dances by Malcolm Arnold, and selections from Alfred Reed, Eric Whitaker, Frank Ticheli and John Williams.

On Dec. 3, at 7:30pm, Holiday music takes center stage with performances by Lane's Concert Choir, Debi Noel, Conductor; Chamber Choir, Matthew Svoboda, Conductor and Spectrum Jazz Vocal Ensemble; Vicki Brabham, Conductor.

The series wraps up on Dec. 4 at 7:30 with the Lane Jazz Ensemble, Jesse Cloninger, Conductor; and the Lane Jazz Combo performing a series of pieces sure to get your weekend off to a great start. Soloists for the Ensemble include Matt Noble and Karen Clark on piano, Devin Wright on tenor sax, Tim Pierson, Tim Hemphill and Nate Hastings on trumpet, Aaron Cole on alto sax, Sean Meesey on trombone, and Guliano Cavazos on drums.

The concerts include performers from the Lane Music Department and musicians from the Eugene area community. All concerts will be held in the newly-remodeled Performance Hall on the Main Campus.

Keeping to Lane's commitment to being "Affordable, Accessible" tickets to each concert will be priced at $5 for general admission, $3 for students and seniors.

Tickets to each show may be purchased at the door or at the on-line box office at lanecc.edu/tickets. There are never service charges for buying on-line at Lane.
