EUGENE, OR - The Lane Community College Board of Education passed a resolution advocating a "yes" vote on measures 66 and 67 in the January 26 statewide special election.
"Failure to support the work of our legislators will result in further damaging cuts to state and local services," said Board Chair Pat Albright. "These measures attempt to balance the needs of Oregon by assessing modest increases on those most capable," he added.
The resolution notes that LCC could face state funding cuts of about $2.9 million if the measures are not approved.
The resolution was approved by 6-0 vote at the board's Nov. 4 meeting; board member Gary LeClair was absent.
Lane is an equal opportunity/affirmative action institution.
