Two New Legal Workshops for Business Owners Offered in November
Eugene OR - Two legal workshops to be presented by Jill Fetherstonhaugh and Casey K Whelan, Business Law Centre and the Lane Community College Business Development Center in November. "Choosing Your Business Entity" is the first workshop to be offered on Monday, November 2, from 7-8:30 pm. This workshop reviews various types of business forms and entities including a sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability company, and corporation. Participants will learn the difference between the entities and the liability protection available with each entity.
The second workshop is "Legally Protecting Your Business," held on Monday, November 9, from 7-8:30 pm. This workshop will briefly review various types of business forms and entities including a sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability company, and corporation and the liability protection available with each entity. Additionally, participants will learn basic steps they can take to protect their business including; negotiating leases, preparing clear and enforceable contracts, effectively dealing with employees, and payment of taxes.
Both workshops are held at the Lane Community College Business Development Center, 1445 Willamette St, Eugene in Room 117. The Cost is $31 (includes all fees) per workshop or $52 for both.
