CHILD AND FAMILY CENTER INCREASES CHILD CARE SUBSIDIES
EUGENE, OR - The Lane Community College Child and Family Center, a state licensed child care center on main campus, has increased child care subsidies for student parents to access the campus child care center.
Student parents who meet the application criteria can apply through the Child and Family Education Department office for stipends of $400. Last year the stipends were $200.
The center currently has openings. The center is open Monday through Friday and serves children 30 months through 5 years old. The Child and Family Center, a teacher preparation school and parent cooperative, provides care for student, staff and community families. The program is staffed by professional caregivers and enhanced by student teachers enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program.
To enroll, contact Michel Ronning, department coordinator, at ronningm@lanecc.edu or 463-5519 or visit 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/cfe/lcfc for more information.
