Non-Profit Business Management Program Aims to Strengthen Organizations Providing Vital Services
Eugene, Oregon – The Lane Community College Business Development Center and Employee Training is launching a Non-Profit Business Management Program (NPBM) aimed to help non-profit organizations thrive and survive. The goal is to provide directors and board leaders with useful information, coaching and resources that will result in better-managed organizations that are well-positioned to successfully fulfill their mission.
The ten month, 70-hour Non-Profit Business Management Program will meet twice a month and begins September 16, 2009. It will address topics such as how to diversify funding sources, promoting effective governance, non-profit compliance, responsible financial management, building capacity, how to innovate and more. Equally as important, is the opportunity for participants to receive "just in time" advising to address key issues their organizations face.
Julie Daniel, Executive Director, BRING Recycling who participated in a similar program that was offered five years ago shares, "The Non-Profit Business Management Program transformed the way our organization operates. We can now fulfill our mission much more effectively!" Daniel was pleased to hear the program is once again being offered to serve area non-profits.
Registrations are currently being accepted. The upcoming program includes participants from throughout the region including Eugene, Florence, Albany and Corvallis.
