News from the Women’s Center at Lane Community College

LCC WOMEN'S CENTER AND MULTICULTURAL CENTER OFFER CAREER PROSPECTING SESSIONS ON MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTING, WELDING
Eugene, Ore. - The Lane Community College Women's Center and Multicultural Center present two Career Prospecting workshops.
The first workshop will focus on career opportunities in Medical Office Assisting. It will be held Monday, April 27, from 3-4:30 p.m. Panelists will share information about medical office assisting training including certification programs available at Lane, describe what a day on the job looks like, typical pay rates, and job prospects in Lane County.
The second workshop will focus on career opportunities in Welding and Fabrication. It will be held on Wednesday, May 6, from 3-4:30 p.m. The presentation will include a tour Lane’s 15,000-square-foot welding facility. Panelists will share information about welding and metal fabrication certification programs available at Lane describe what a day on the job looks like, typical pay rates, and job prospects in Lane County.
Both workshops will begin in the Multicultural Center, building 1, room 201, main campus in Eugene, 4000 E. 30th Avenue.
