LCC WINS $100,000 ACE-WALMART GRANT FOR STUDENT VETERANS
Eugene, Ore. - Lane Community College has won a $100,000 grant from the American Council on Education (ACE) and the Wal-Mart Foundation for a Success for Veterans project.
Lane is one of 20 institutions nationwide selected for the grants based on past success in serving and supporting students. More than 250 colleges and universities applied for the grants.
Lane’s Success for Veterans project is called Lane Integration of Vets in Education (LIVE). The grant will allow Lane to increase services to student veterans including first- year experiences, learning communities, advising,supplemental instruction, and early intervention services.
