SPRING INSPIRATIONS
April 30; May 1,2,7,8,9
Curtain 8pm
Blue Door Theatre in the Performance Hall, Bldg. 6
Lane Community College Main Campus
Tickets $3-10 Sliding scale at the door only.
Sex, drugs, and lots of laughs are abundant in this year’s Spring Inspirations, performing in the Blue Door at Lane Community College. The evening consists of eight one-act plays, written, directed, acted, and produced by Lane Theatre Arts students, who have been working on the project since last fall.
A revolving stage and large projection screen are two of the production elements that keep the action flowing.
Checking Carefully by Anne Kern is a comedy about how miscommunication can actually keep a marriage together.
Champagne, a hamburger, and a quirky young couple keep the laughter going in Jeffrey Thomas’ Robbie & Ellin.
Stephanie Morgan plays off the old saying, “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not after you,” with Closet Paranoia. They might be someone you know.
Use Me Up by Sarah Wollin reconsiders gender roles and one-night-stands.
The evening turns a little dark with N.M. Glenn’s work Love & Loathing In A Basement, which is an examination of a twisted personality and his victim.
Jenna Clinkscales gives us a sequel to her tale of the Time family from last year’s Spring Inspirations. This dark comedy, Repenting Time, is at the funeral of the woman you love to hate.
The crazy story of Harry Pothead by Donny Ebel is more than hinted at in the title.
And it may be difficult to find hope in the sex slave trade, but Anita Marie manages to do it in Night Of The Eagle.
All profits from Spring Inspirations go to student scholarships!
Lane Community College is an Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity Institution
