CHOIRS AND JAZZ THIS WEEK AT LANE PERFORMANCE HALL
The Lane Concert Choir, The Spectrum Vocal Jazz Ensemble and The Lane Chamber Choir will perform in concert Thursday, March 12th at 7:30 pm in the Performance Hall.
The Concert Choir, under the direction of Debi Noel, will present a program of music entitled "The Gift of Song", featuring a 20-voice children's choir from the Rose Children's Theatre and Oak Hill School.
The Spectrum Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed by Vicki Brabham, will present selections including "Take a Little Time to Smile", "When I Fall in Love" and "You Learn to Live with the Blues". Lane Saxophonist Josh Soran joins the ensemble for several numbers!
The Chamber Choir, directed by Matt Svoboda, concludes the concert with "Songs of the Sea", an exciting voyage through ocean-themed waters.
On Friday night, March 13th, 2009 at 7:30; the Lane Jazz Ensemble, directed by Ron Bertucci, swings the Performance Hall with Big-Band music from Count Basie, Stan Kenton and others.
Tickets for both shows are available at the door. Admission is $3-$5, sliding scale.
