LANE MUSIC FACULTY PERFORMS MENDELSSOHN, PIAZZOLLA AND JOPLIN

The Lane Community College Music Faculty presents the work of Mendelssohn, Piazzolla and Joplin in concert Friday, March 6 2009 at 7:30 pm.
Barbara Myrick- piano, Yvonne Hsueh-violin and David Straka, cello will open the concert with Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio #1, followed by Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango, Oblivion, and La Muerte del Angel.
The concert will conclude with selections from Scott Joplin’s “The Red Back Book” as arranged by Gunther Schuller of the New England Conservatory of Music and performed by the Lane Faculty and Friends Ragtime Ensemble, led by Ron Bertucci. Ensemble members include:

Seth Horner - Tuba
Yvonne Hsueh - Violin Chris Collins - Violin
Nathan Cammack - Viola David Straka - Cello
