ONLINE BOX OFFICE FOR LANE PERFORMING ARTS
EUGENE, OR - Quality, affordable entertainment just became more accessible at Lane Community College. Starting today, you can check out upcoming music, dance and theater productions and order tickets by visiting Lane Community College's Online Box Office at 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/tickets.
"We wanted to replace the cumbersome telephone ordering system with a system that makes buying tickets for a show as easy as buying a book or registering for a class online," says John Watson, LCC's marketing and house manager for the Department of Music, Dance and Theater Arts. "From our new web page, you will be able to see a list and description of all upcoming shows at Lane. Then all you have to do is click the "Buy tickets" button." Purchases are confirmed by e- mail which serves as the ticket for the event.
"Our goal is to encourage more people to make the short drive to LCC to see quality entertainment that's affordable and accessible," says Watson.
The first production to offer the new system is the annual Oregon Jazz Festival to be held at Lane Community College from January 23- 24. Show information for this and other events is now online at 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/tickets. Tickets for the Jazz Festival go on sale January 15.
