Don’t miss the brightest Jazz lights in the Pacific Northwest as Lane Jazz and UO Jazz jam it up again for the 2009 Oregon Jazz Festival at Lane Community College!

This year’s Oregon Jazz Festival’s Special Guest Artist is tenor saxophone player and High Note recording artist Don Braden. Braden has worked, recorded and performed with jazz greats Betty Carter, Wynton Marsalis and renowned groups like the Mingus Big Band, the Dizzy Gillespie All- Stars and the Carnegie Hall Jazz band. He has released 13 CDs with his own bands, including his latest “Working’- Live at Cecil’s” for High Note Records.

Don Braden’s music has been reviewed as “…Brilliant and Assured…” by The New York Times’ Peter Watrous.

Join us for these special concerts in the main Performance Hall at Lane. This is a wonderful opportunity to see and hear national jazz greats here in Eugene. Only a limited number of tickets are available to the public so get yours today.

Oregon Jazz Festival Special Guest Artist Don Braden brings that sax back for a hot concert with the Oregon Jazz Festival Trio: Randy Porter- piano, Dave Captein- bass and Gary Hobbs- drums.
