News from Music, Dance and Theater Arts at Lane Community College

CONCERTS AT LANE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
EUGENE, OR - The Lane Community College Concert Choir and Chamber Choir will perform Thursday, December 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performance Hall, main campus in Eugene, 4000 E. 30th Avenue.
The Concert Choir is directed by Debi Noel and the Chamber Choir is directed by Matthew Svoboda. The program includes a magical and sometimes haunting musical journey through time and culture. Hear familiar lyrics and be surprised by something new.
The Lane Jazz Ensemble directed by Ron Bertucci will perform on Friday, December 5, at 5 p.m., same location. The program will feature selected works of Count Basie, Stan Kenton, and several contemporary composers and arrangers. The Lane Jazz Ensemble has placed second in the past two years in the two-year college division of the Reno Jazz Festival. The Ensemble features some of the area's hottest jazz soloists and a driving jazz sound. Guest performances will be given by the University of Oregon’s Jazz Lab II directed by UO graduate student and trumpeter Josh Deutsch.
A donation of $5 is suggested for each performance.
