ERIC SCHULTZ "THOUGHTS ON DIRECTION" EXHIBIT OPENS NOV. 17
EUGENE, OR - The Lane Community College Art Gallery presents "Thoughts on Direction," a collective body of work by local sculptor Eric Schultz.
In reflecting on this new collection, Schultz says, "Sculpture, for me, is comparable to the advent of the railway for humanity: cataclysmic, revolutionary, important, and a courier of changes whose effects and ultimate destination would be uncertain at best. This body of work represents an exploration of this period of my personal journey, and the challenges and revelations that have come along with it."
The show runs from Nov. 17 through Dec. 4. There will be an artist’s talk on Nov. 20 at 2:30 p.m. and a reception from 5-7 p.m. the same day, both in the gallery.
The gallery is located in building 11 on main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue. There is no charge for admission. The Art and Applied Design Department phone number is 463-5409.
Lane is an equal opportunity/affirmative action institution.
