JILL BEAMAN HIRED AS PART-TIME NON-CREDIT FACULTY FOR THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER.

Jill Beaman

EUGENE OR - Jill Beaman, instructor and business advisor, has been hired as part-time, non-credit Faculty for 2008-09 for the Business Development Center. Jill is a team member of the Lane Community College Business Development Center. She instructs and coaches small business owners in focusing on their businesses through business advising and instruction for Business Sustainability and Growth in Springfield.

Jill received her BS & MS degrees from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in Agricultural Business with a concentration in marketing. She also minored in wine and viticulture. After college, Jill worked in wine marketing in the Napa Valley for a prominent Cabernet producer. While in Oregon, She has worked for OSU’s Food Innovation Center conducting market research as well as teaching and consulting with start-up food businesses. Beaman has also taught Farm Management and Computers in Farm Business at Linn-Benton Community College. This past year she worked as an independent marketing consultant for a local winery. Jill’s areas of interest include agriculture and food business marketing. She has published papers on value-added cooperatives and the food distribution channel.
