HUMAN RESOURCE CERTIFICATION COURSE OFFERED THIS FALL
EUGENE, OR - Registrations are now being accepted for the Lane Community College Business Development Center's Human Resource Course SHRM Learning System PHR®/SPHR® Certification Preparation Program, 6 - 9 p.m., Monday, September 29 to December 15 and Saturday, December 13 and January 10 for a total of 36 hours. The course is limited to the first 30 to apply. Call Jenette Kane, 463-4612 for costs, department consent, or to register.
This is 12 to 16 weeks of study designed for business owners, managers and human resource professionals: 12 weeks of initial supported instruction, two six-hour Saturday final preparation classes, and the option to schedule one-on-one student/instructor consultations). This certification course will prepare you for the PHR® or SPHR® exam. It includes a comprehensive review of the entire body of Human Resource knowledge and uses the SHRM Learning System® and is a comprehensive course highlighting content areas that may appear on the PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification exam. Taught by Dennis Carr, M.S.I.R. PHR/SPHR, Chief Human Resource Officer, Lane Community College.
The course content reflects the general body-of-knowledge tested by the Human Resource Certification Institute, helps you assess your competency level, and refreshes areas you may not currently be practicing. Periodic progress checks and homework exercises include sample questions to reinforce classroom sessions and topics that may appear on the certification exam. Your next window of opportunity to test is December, 2008, and January, 2009. This course of study will in no way guarantee or assure success on the HRCI exam. While completing the course provides no guarantee or assurance that a candidate will pass the HRCI certification exam, participants who do not pass the HRCI exam of their choice will be permitted to repeat the class in Spring, 2009, for a discounted fee. Students must use the most recent addition of the SHRM® educational products for this course, and are strongly advised not to use outdated materials.
