NATIONAL SUSTAINABLE BUILDING ADVISOR PROGRAM TO BE OFFERED IN EUGENE

EUGENE - Until now, folks in the Eugene area who wanted to take the Sustainable Building Advisor Program were obliged to commute to Portland or Bend. Beginning in October this excellent and timely course will be offered in Eugene by the Northwest Energy Education Institute at Lane Community College.

The National Sustainable Building Advisor Program (NaSBAP) offers a nine- month certification course to working professionals interested in promoting and applying sustainable concepts to building design, development, and construction. Expert instructors, interactive teaching methods, and access to the latest in green building resources provide students with a rich and real world learning experience. NaSBAP offers this comprehensive and cutting edge course through community colleges across the U.S. and Canada. The US Green Building Council has approved the Sustainable Building Advisor (SBA) program as a 400 Level - Mastery course.

The class schedule is adapted for the working professional - sessions meet one weekend per month. The course welcomes a wide range of students drawn from architecture and planning firms, engineering companies, developers and contractors, government agencies, research institutions, resource conservation organizations, utilities and environmental consulting organizations. Class size is limited to a maximum of 30 students.

Eugene classes will begin on Friday, October 3rd. If you would like more information please call Roger Ebbage, 541- 463- 3977. Details and online registration are available at www.nweei.org.
