NEW BUSINESS ADVISOR AND INSTRUCTOR HIRED FOR 2008-09

EUGENE OR - Suzanne Penegor, instructor and business advisor, has been hired as part-time, non-credit faculty for 2008-09 for the Lane Community College Business Development Center. Suzanne instructs and coaches small business owners in business startup and focusing on starting their businesses off right through business advising and instruction for First Steps in Business and Going Into Business.
Suzanne is a graduate of the University of Oregon and a business owner in the transportation and wood products industries. She was in lumber sales and marketing at Seneca Sawmill Company for 11 years. She opened the first log truck brokerage company in Oregon, Great NW Trucking Services, Inc., which has been in business 15 years.
Currently, she is a board member of the Rubicon Society of Lane County and has published several articles regarding local business issues. She does freelance business public relations writing and marketing consulting for local groups such as the new RiverBend Hospital in Springfield and Oregon Catalyst-Oregon Taxpayer’s Association Website.
Suzanne will be teaching Going Into Business, First Steps in Business, and serves on the business advising team.
