LCC board meeting
Eugene, Ore. - The Lane Community College Board of Education meets Wednesday, October 10, at 6:30 p.m. at the LCC Florence Center, 3149 Oak Street, Florence, Oregon. The board meets in Florence annually as part of its outreach to district residents. The agenda is online at 2011sitearchive.lanecc.edu/presoffc/board/agenda.htm
Agenda highlight:
- The board will tour Siltcoos Station Retreat and Learning Center at Siltcoos Lake at 4:30 p.m., and hear more information later after the board convenes at 6:30 p.m. at the LCC Florence Center in town. Siltcoos Station was ranked as one of the top 10 places to visit on the Oregon Coast by the Oregonian this fall. Lane renovated the station this summer thanks in large part to donations of labor, materials and funds from the Florence community. Siltcoos Station was donated to the college in 1972 by a descendant of the original homesteader.
