Consultant of Oregon Small Business Development Center Showcases at National Technology Leadership Summit
Eugene - Oregon small Business Development Center Network (OSBDCN) Technology Consultant, Dr. Gene Haugen of Eugene, is speaking at the 2007 National Technology Leadership Summit May 21-23 at the National Press Club in Washington D.C.
The Summit is sponsored by the Small Business Administration to attract and showcase innovative technology based approaches to providing excellent service to small business. Haugen is one of only twelve speakers invited to present nationwide.
Haugen will introduce the leading technology applications that support Oregon Small Business Development Centers’ delivery of services to small businesses. The OSBDCN is nationally recognized for creating eSBDC, an online delivery tool for a wide variety of services, including e-counseling (business coaching). In 2006 the OSBDCN launched the eSBDC on its website www.BizCenter.org setting a new trend in business assistance.
Haugen said “We saw an opportunity with our increasingly technologically astute clients, along with a way to leverage technology to create value for our clients. The website provides counseling resources and services anytime/ anywhere 24/7 to our clients.”
